OUR SKELETAL SYSTEM BY STUDENTS OF 3rd. ESO

Our students of 3rd. ESO took part in a spooky activity to conmemorate Halloween. They were researching into the skeletal system to design two creative examples employing recycled materials. They used ordinary things that everybody can find at his home. If you are curious to discover these creatures and the name of your bones in English, take a look at the bilingual board located in the corridor of the ground floor where they will be shown.

The scariest places in Universe

The scariest place in Universe for students of 1st ESO A is Face on Mars.

These eerie Martian rock formations look like faces in agony. The famous (or infamous) Face on Mars, as imaged in 1976 by NASA's Viking 1 orbiter. Reminiscent of Han Solo frozen in carbonite, conspiracy theorists have claimed that this face is connected to a city of Martian ruins located nearby. Further imaging and analysis has shown them all to just be rock formations. NASA / VIKING 1

The scariest place in Universe for students of 1st ESO B is Hand of God.

Pulsar winds create this phantasmal, gripping sight. The blue hand is actually X-ray emitting gas coming out of a central pulsar, whose winds superheat the surrounding gas and cause it to emit X-rays. The hand shape is a cosmic coincidence, and the red, ghostly wisps at the fingertips are simply a nearby gas cloud, RCW 89, that also gets heated by the pulsar winds. NASA/CXC/SAO/P.SLANE, ET AL.

Visiting the Iron Bridge in Lora del Río!

El pasado martes 30 de abril, el alumnado de 2ºESO A y B visitaron el Puente de Hierro en Lora del Río, y las pistas polideportivas.

Allí pudieron repasar conceptos clave de estructuras mientras disfrutaban de esta gran construcción histórica y de su entorno. También pudieron realizar varias pruebas deportivas en la pista de atletismo situada al otro lado de la carretera.

GESTURES IN SPAIN!

By looking at the gestures and symbols used in Spain, we can notice the difference between Spanish culture and North American culture. Many gestures used in Spain, are not used in the United States
